Rowan Women's Volleyball: Joy as Their Secret Weapon
The Rowan women's volleyball team has been making waves with their impressive 18-4 record, a significant improvement from their 12-10 mark in 2024. As they traveled to face Kean, their team dynamic was on full display.
During their 1 hour and 40 minute road trip, the team enjoyed a Spotify jam session, with songs like "Cry for You" by September getting everyone excited. Although assistant coach Matt Verlinghieri's Metallica suggestion didn't make the cut, the team's camaraderie was palpable.
The influx of freshmen and sophomores over the past two years has been a game-changer for the program. Freshman outside hitter Jessica Smart has been a standout, leading the team in kills in her first year.
