A Finnish phone company, Human Mobile Devices (HMD), has developed the world's first smartphone that auto-blocks nude content, aiming to create a safer online space for children.
The Fuse handset comes with a suite of parental controls, including:
"the first protection tool children can’t bypass,"
said the company, referring to its HarmBlock AI technology embedded in the phone's operating system.
By default, the phone starts as a "brick" with no access to social media or app stores, allowing parents to control access to apps and manage usage via a separate app on their own device.
