European-Style Christmas Market in New Bedford
A European-style Christmas market is coming to Madeira Field in New Bedford, hosted by the Clube Madeirense S.S. Sacramento.
The event will take place on Sunday, Dec. at 50 Madeira Ave., featuring outdoor shopping and dining, holiday gift ideas, and Christmas music.
“We got the idea from all the Christmas markets that you see happening in Portugal and all over Europe,” said Tony Abreu, chairman of the special events committee.

The goal is to increase usage and attract visitors to the Madeira Feast grounds throughout the year, not just for the feast.
