Cebu Targets New Investments with Strategic Zoning
The Cebu Provincial Government has unveiled a plan to reshape the island's economic geography through strategic zoning and corridor-based industrial development.
This move aims to draw new investments, accelerate regional industrialization, and ensure economic gains extend beyond Metro Cebu.
The plan positions Cebu as a national model for "sustainable, people-centered industrialization" by 2035.
Governor Pamela Baricuatro outlined the long-term roadmap during the "Cebu Industrial Summit 2025" on October 29, 2025.
The summit was organized by Aboitiz Economic Estates at Oakridge Business Park.
