A 38-year-old Sarnia man, Jordan Dietrich, has been sentenced to four months in jail for violating his bail and breaching probation.
Dietrich was granted bail in October 2024, which included GPS tracking. However, about a month later, the device was tampered with and found on Victoria Street, prompting Sarnia police to issue a warrant for his arrest.
“Sorry for breaching my orders,”
Dietrich said, attributing his actions to drug use at the time. Justice Krista Lynn Leszczynski acknowledged the role of drug use but emphasized that it was no excuse.
“But it’s certainly no excuse,”
Dietrich was on the lam for three months before being apprehended. A second warrant was issued after he failed to meet with his probation officer.
