Recall of Blood Pressure Medication Bottles
Over 580,000 bottles of blood pressure medication have been recalled by the FDA due to elevated levels of a potential carcinogenic impurity.
Affected bottles contain prazosin hydrochloride capsules of 1 mg, 2 mg, and 5 mg, which can be identified by lot number and expiration date.

no one wants to trade high blood pressure for a potentially cancer-causing chemical, it is essential to consult your physician before stopping the medication.
The recall was issued by the FDA after certain lots of the antihypertensive drug tested positive for the impurity, a byproduct of the manufacturing process.
