Kennesaw State University assistant professor Madalynn Marshall found her passion for solid-state chemistry early in her college career.
“During my undergraduate years at Iowa State, I was able to gain some research experience with Dr. Gordon Miller, a leader in solid-state chemistry,”
Marshall said, recalling her experience. She noted that solid-state chemistry has a unique aspect, particularly in exploring magnetism in rare earths and transition metals.
Her journey in chemistry was influenced by renowned professors and scientists she met along the way, providing her with continued mentorship and guidance.
Marshall considers herself lucky to have found her drive and curiosity for solid-state chemistry, and now she opens doors to hands-on innovation in chemistry at Kennesaw State University.
