Wisconsin Senator Urges Passage of Medical Marijuana Bill
State Senator Patrick Testin (R) has published an op-ed titled "Why I'm trying to legalize medical marijuana", explaining his motivation behind new legislation to make Wisconsin the 41st state to legalize medical cannabis.
Testin's motivation stems from his grandfather's battle with cancer in the 1990s.
"I can remember, with vivid detail, the exact moment I knew I wanted to pursue a life of public service",says Testin. His grandfather's diagnosis with lung cancer, which metastasized to bone cancer, and the subsequent chemotherapy treatments, had a profound impact on Testin.
Testin's bill aims to legalize medical marijuana in Wisconsin, and he urges its passage.
