Special Screening at Buncrana Cinema
Buncrana Cinema will host Donegal's first public screening of the documentary Still He Waits on Thursday, 6th November at 8:15pm.
The feature-length documentary, directed by Paul McGuckin, explores the founding of Sliabh Liag Distillers and Ardara Distillery.
- The film had its national premiere at the Galway Film Fleadh earlier this summer.
- After the screening, there will be a conversation with Paul McGuckin, distillery founder James Doherty, and Daithí Ramsay, accompanied by whiskey tasting.
'Still, he waits' brews up James' deep-rooted desire to belong to one place, to find his true home.
The film follows James Doherty's journey from Hong Kong back to Donegal, where he aims to reclaim a lost Irish whiskey tradition.
