Chrysler Recalls Jeep Plug-in Hybrids Due to Faulty Batteries

Stellantis has announced a recall of over 320,000 Jeep plug-in hybrid vehicles due to a faulty battery that can cause a fire when it fails, according to U.S. traffic safety regulators.

The vehicles' batteries were manufactured by Samsung SDI America. The company is aware of 19 incidents and one injury potentially related to the issue.

Owners are advised to park the vehicles outside and away from structures until a fix is determined and not to charge their vehicles.

This advisory is according to the National Highway and Traffic Safety Agency.
