The highly anticipated final season of Stranger Things is nearly here, and Netflix has given fans an eerie preview by releasing the opening five minutes of Season 5.
The first episode, titled “The Crawl”, opens in 1983 deep within the forest of the Upside Down, shortly after Will Byers' disappearance. This chilling flashback sets the tone for the series’ conclusion.
A de-aged Noah Schnapp portrays 12-year-old Will, who is frightened and whispering The Clash’s “Should I Stay or Should I Go” inside the Upside Down’s version of Castle Byers.
As Will sings, he hears unsettling noises. Suddenly, a Demogorgon crashes through his fort. Will fires a rifle and manages to climb a tree, but the creature drags him down and off-screen.
The scene cuts to the Hawkins Library within the Upside Down. There, Will is presented before Vecna, played by Jamie Campbell Bower.
“At long last, we can begin.”
Vines lift Will against the wall as a tentacle moves toward his mouth, releasing an unknown substance.
This intense preview of Stranger Things Season 5 reintroduces Will’s terrifying encounter with Vecna, promising a suspenseful and haunting final chapter.
