Lynyrd Skynyrd to Retire from Touring

Lynyrd Skynyrd singer Johnny Van Zant confirmed that the group plans to retire from touring in the near future.

"We’re still looking at hanging it up in the next year or so," Van Zant noted. "We're going to retire from touring."

The band had initially announced the Last of the Street Survivors Farewell tour in 2018, but the pandemic altered their plans. They have since continued touring with the Big Wheels Keep on Turnin' tour.

Current performances are scheduled through early October, with a one-off concert booked in February 2023. Van Zant did not provide an exact timeline, but indicated that the band's touring days are limited.
