Statewide center at USF launches Florida’s first-of-its-kind interactive dashboard addressing behavioral health workforce shortage

Florida's First Interactive Dashboard for Behavioral Health Workforce

The Florida Center for Behavioral Health Workforce (FCBHW) at the University of South Florida has launched a first-of-its-kind interactive dashboard to address the state's behavioral health workforce shortage.

The dashboard projects the behavioral health workforce supply and demand through 2035, providing policymakers, providers, educators, and advocates with the necessary tools to confront the critical shortage of behavioral health professionals in Florida.

“Florida now has a way to see not just where the workforce stands today, but where it’s headed,”

said Julie Serovich, dean of the USF College of Behavioral and Community Sciences. The launch of the dashboard comes ahead of Florida Behavioral Health Day on Oct. 15, which highlights the urgent need to close access gaps and prepare the state's workforce for the future.

The dashboard is available on the Florida Center for Behavioral Health Workforce website and provides data by profession and region.
