Vallartas Mexican Grill, located in Armory Square, is now open to satisfy the community's craving for Mexican cuisine.
Co-owners Pedro Unzueta and Sergio Barajas, both from Mexico, emphasize the importance of "fresh" ingredients.
Fresh food is best for the customer. Everything is made here, says Unzueta, highlighting that all menu items, including chips, refried beans, and rice, are made in-house.
The menu features classic Mexican dishes such as enchiladas, burritos, fajitas, quesadillas, and carnitas, with various combinations available. Additionally, vegetarian options, salads, and a kids' menu are offered. The restaurant also serves à la carte items, appetizers, and American-style hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, and steaks.
A signature item is the Tequila Burrito, which Unzueta promises is
the best, filled with steak, chicken, shrimp, veggies, rice, and beans. Unzueta notes that the food is
tasty, not spicy.
