Wiregrass Talent Shines in Deep South's Oldest Rivalry

Wiregrass talent continues to shine under the brightest lights in college football. The Deep South's oldest rivalry featured more than just two powerhouse programs, it also spotlighted familiar faces from the Wiregrass.

Georgia overcame one of its worst first halves in program history to defeat Auburn 20-10 at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Among the key contributors for the Bulldogs was senior running back Josh McCray, a graduate of Enterprise High School.

McCray was one of Georgia's leading rushers in the win, recording six carries for 24 yards. After the game, Georgia Head Coach Kirby Smart celebrated with McCray and teammate Zachariah Branch.

"I just love those guys," Smart said. "They both came in from really good programs. They love Georgia and compete every day. I wanted them to experience this atmosphere and enjoy it. They both played well and did good things for us."
