Reactions to Columbus Day from Native American Day Participants
In South Dakota, it is still Native American Day, a declaration made by the governor's office over 30 years ago.
The recent change of the national holiday by President Trump has been met with frustration. While President Trump is working towards peace in the Middle East, some Native Americans at the Native American Day Parade celebration are wondering if he could also work towards peace with Native Americans in the Midwest.
