Kentucky by Heart: A Scare on the Road

While traveling on North I-65, Steve and his companion Suzanne had a close call, just 30 minutes after departing from a hotel in a small Tennessee town outside Nashville.
Initially, the plan was different, but the day before had thrown a wrench into the works. A White House spokesperson and the gift of a donut had helped to keep things from getting out of hand.
The evening before, at Nashville International Airport, Steve was reunited with Suzanne, who had just returned from a week-long vacation in Ireland with friends.
The gift of a donut and the intervention of a White House spokesperson kept things from being overly serious.
