Northampton Sheriff’s Office Promotions
Four veteran law enforcement officers have been promoted by Northampton County Sheriff Jack Smith, bringing a combined 68 years of experience to their new roles.
Patrick Jacobs, one of the promoted officers, has over 16 years of full-time law enforcement experience, all with Northampton County. He also has part-time experience with the Garysburg Police Department since 2010.
- Started career as a patrol deputy in 2009
- Served as a Detective in the Criminal Investigations Division for over 11 years
- Promoted to Sergeant Detective in 2014
- Promoted to Captain – Chief Detective in 2016, serving for over nine years
Major Jacobs' promotion is part of a larger effort to recognize and reward the experience and dedication of law enforcement officers in Northampton County.
