Former Kenyan Prime Minister, Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga, has died at the age of 80.
A source in Odinga's office confirmed his death to multiple news outlets on Wednesday, October 15.
Odinga passed away in the southern Indian city of Kochi, where he was recovering after undergoing treatment for an undisclosed condition.
He suffered a cardiac arrest “during a morning walk” and was rushed to hospital, where he was pronounced dead at around 9:52 a.m.
According to Indian newspaper Mathrubhumi, Odinga collapsed during a morning walk within the premises of the Ayurvedic facility and was rushed to Devamatha Hospital in Koothattukulam.
