Canada's 26th-ranked men's team gave a strong effort to hold 13th-ranked Colombia to a scoreless draw in an international soccer friendly.
The team, led by midfielder Stephen Eustaquio and winger Tajon Buchanan, proved to be a challenge for the South Americans, with Canada coach Jesse Marsch stating:
"I think it was a good performance, not a great performance … I felt like most of the game we were in fourth or fifth gear and we could have really pushed ourselves into sixth gear,"
Marsch added that the team has the potential to win such games, saying:
"We are the type of team that can play in these games, be better in these games and win these games."
The game saw few scoring chances until the final minutes, with Canada fending off a late charge from Colombia.
