Solomon Named Big South Preseason Player of the Year

UNC Asheville’s Toyaz Solomon has been named the Preseason Player of the Year by the Big South Conference.

Last season, Solomon started all 32 games, averaging 15.7 points per game, and leading the team in field goal percentage (.610), rebounds (7.2 per game), and blocked shots (51).

Solomon's notable performances included 24 points against North Florida, 15 rebounds at Central Arkansas, six assists versus Longwood, and six blocks against UNCW.

Toyaz Solomon proved to be a force on both ends of the floor last season.

The Bulldogs were picked second in the preseason poll.
