Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has confirmed that Fiji received $448.5 million in remittances in the first four months of 2025 from Fijians living overseas.
Rabuka thanked the diaspora for their contribution towards Fiji’s economy, stating that they have lifted the lives of so many people back home.
The Prime Minister expressed his appreciation during Fiji Day celebrations at Liverpool’s Woodward Park in south-western Sydney, where Fijians gathered to proudly wave the Fiji flag and share in the warmth and unity of their community.
Rabuka noted that despite being far from Fiji, the hearts of the Fijian community remain close to their home country, and he thanked them for their continued love and contribution.
