Frost and Freeze Alerts in NCWV
Frost and Freeze alerts have been issued across all of NCWV. A dry cold front passed over the area yesterday, resulting in high temperatures in the low to mid 60s in the lowlands and mid 50s in the mountains.
Tonight's lows will drop to the mid 30s in the lowlands and low 30s in Davis and Elkins. The National Weather Service has issued a Frost Advisory for several counties, including NW Webster, Upshur, Barbour, Taylor, NW Preston, Monongalia, Marion, Harrison, Lewis, Braxton, Gilmer, Ritchie, and Doddridge Counties, until 9:00 AM EST tomorrow.
A Freeze Warning has also been issued for the majority of Preston, SE Webster, Pocahontas, and Tucker Counties, lasting until 9:00 AM tomorrow. Temperatures are expected to drop as low as 33°F, resulting in frost formation.
