Older Aussies Reject Tipping Culture Amid Rising Living Costs
With living costs soaring, tipping has become an expense many older Australians simply won’t accept.
Recent research from Money.com.au shows that older Australians are pushing back against tipping, with half of those in or nearing their 60s refusing to tip at cafés, restaurants, and bars when asked.
According to a nationwide survey of over 1,000 Aussies, older Australians feel that tipping is “not part of Australian culture.”
