UK Leads Polar Climate Change Research as US Withdraws
The UK's state-of-the-art polar research vessel, RRS Sir David Attenborough, is heading to Antarctica to support climate change science projects.
Operated by the British Antarctic Survey (BAS), the ship will aid research on various topics, including underwater tsunamis, glacier melt, and whale populations.

BAS oceanographer Peter Davis expressed regret that the United States is "drawing back" from scientific exploration in the region.
