Plane Crash Northwest of Fort Worth
A plane crash has occurred near Hicks Airfield, just off of Business 287 in Tarrant County, according to the Fort Worth Fire Department.
The crash happened at 1:30 p.m. in the 12000 block of N. Saginaw Blvd., near Avondale, resulting in multiple semi-trucks on fire.
- The FAA and NTSB have been notified.
- Business 287 is shut down for both north and southbound traffic in the area.
- Motorists are urged to use a different route and avoid the area.
There is no word on injuries yet. Officials have not released information on how many people were aboard.
Hicks Airfield (T67) is a private member-owned airfield located north of Fort Worth in unincorporated Tarrant County, Texas.
