The author's dad bet him that he wouldn't keep the Dacia Duster for more than a year, and it turns out he was right. The car is now up for sale.
The author loved the Duster for its value and "Tonka toy looks", but ultimately didn't want to give up having a performance car for daily use.
I absolutely would keep the Duster if I could afford to.
The Duster has proven to be a cost-effective and reliable daily driver, saving the author money on skip hire and performing well on Sunday Service and Cotswold B-road duties.
With a weight of 1,263kg and a 150hp turbocharged 1.3-litre petrol engine, the Duster feels nippy and easy to drive.
Author's summary: The Dacia Duster is a great value daily driver.
