Man Arrested for Firearm and Narcotics Possession at Traffic Stop
A 28-year-old man was arrested by Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office deputies for firearm and narcotic possession during a traffic stop.
The incident occurred just before 12:30 a.m. when deputies noticed the man making an illegal turn at the intersection of Las Positas Road and Rebecca Lane.
According to the SBCSO, the man initially yielded at the stop, but then reversed his car near a deputy's car, prompting an investigation.
Deputies found methamphetamine, cocaine, and other drug paraphernalia, leading to the man's arrest for several felonies, including:
- Firearm possession
- Narcotic possession
The man was also arrested for several misdemeanors.
The man is currently being held at the Main Jail on $50,000 bail.
