Severe Nor'easter to Hit Philadelphia Region
A potent coastal storm is expected to bring major flooding and wind gusts up to 60 mph to the Philadelphia region, with New Jersey declaring a state of emergency effective 11 p.m. Saturday.
Heavy rains and gusts of up to 40 mph are forecasted for Philly, with the storm potentially lasting through Monday. According to Paul Fitzsimmons, a lead meteorologist at the National Weather Service Office in Mount Holly,
“It’s going to be bad... It’s going to be a nasty, stormy ‘nor’easter’ ... lasting right into Monday.”
