Library Installation Sparks a Revolution in Raibah Village

The Shillong Times reports on the village of Raibah, located beyond Mawsynram, which can be reached after a 3-hour journey on a single-lane road.

The road conditions are challenging, with crater-sized holes and narrow stretches that allow only one truck to pass at a time, forcing vehicles to push to the side of the drain when driving downhill.

Despite the difficulties, the village has a vibrant student population and dedicated teachers, including Batskhem Thabah, who helped renovate the 75-year-old Raibah Government Lower Primary School with funds from well-wishers.

One such inspiration teacher is Batskhem Thabah who unfortunately is transferred out of the 75-year-old Raibah Government Lower Primary School – a school he helped renovate with funds from well-wishers.

Author's summary: Revolution starts in Raibah village.
