Homegrown Quantum Processor Passes Telstra's Tests

An Australian-made quantum machine learning processor has delivered results in days that its conventional deep learning models took weeks to achieve, according to the country's largest telco.

Telstra has successfully tested the Silicon Quantum Computing (SQC) hardware over the last 12 months as part of a joint initiative to take quantum computing out of the lab.

The work focused on how SQC's Quantum Machine Learning (QML) processor could be used to enhance predictive network analytics, one of Telstra’s most complex operational challenges.

Author's summary: Australian quantum processor outperforms conventional models.
