NWS Urging Winter Weather Preparedness This Week
As 2025 winds down to its final two months, winter weather is inevitably on its way, with the first frosts of the season already seen.
The National Weather Service is running Winter Weather Preparedness Week, from today through Friday.
Today is a reminder on Terminology and Products used in describing winter weather.
- Tuesday: information on general good practice for ice storms and ice safety
- Wednesday: focus on the effects of snow and good tips to remember
- Thursday: extreme cold and wind chills, and what to do if you experience these for prolonged periods
