Just a day before Helena's city elections, Senator Tim Sheehy's office released a voicemail from candidate Haley McKnight, who is running for city commission.
According to Sheehy's office, the voicemail was received earlier this year, after the! Senate advanced Republicans' "One Big Bill" that included tighter restrictions on Medicaid.
Sheehy's policies "stripped away health care" for millions of Americans.
McKnight expressed regret over some of the language used in the voicemail, but described her anger as "justifiable rage" in response to Sheehy's actions in office.
Sheehy's office linked to an article from the National Review, which reported on the voicemail.
