Prince George courthouse murderer should be jailed 12 years: B.C. Crown

Prince George Courthouse Murderer Sentencing

A Crown prosecutor has recommended a 12-year jail sentence without parole for Charlene Jane Alexander, convicted of second-degree murder.

Alexander fatally stabbed 26-year-old Jessie Mae Hayward-Lines outside the Prince George courthouse on July 2, 2020.

“bullying to the extreme”

Tyler Bowman described the act as a “purposeful and brutal act of violence” against a gentle newcomer.

According to Bowman, Hayward-Lines was prone to acting outlandishly but was otherwise gentle and tended to direct anger at herself.
