A further 600,000 people could leave the workforce by the end of the decade unless employers lead a “fundamental shift” in the way ill health is approached at work, the Keep Britain Working report has warned.
The report, led by former John Lewis boss Sir Charlie Mayfield, critiqued the current model where individuals and the NHS have been left to tackle the “rising tide of ill health” in UK workplaces.
