Thwaites Invests in Solar Energy
Thwaites has invested £550k in solar energy at its Lancashire head office, generating enough power to run the site year-round.
A second project at Aztec Hotel & Spa in Bristol will supply 23% of the site’s energy, saving 71 tonnes of CO2 annually as part of the brewer’s wider sustainability drive.
- The system is already generating clean energy and is expected to cover 100% of the energy required to run the head office building throughout the year.
- Including energy demand for EV chargers and the on-site brewery, the new system is predicted to cover around 54% of the site’s total usage each year.
The group has also rolled out a solar panel project at its Aztec Hotel & Spa in Bristol, in partnership with renewable energy firm Manatec.
