The Village of Roscoe has decided not to continue collecting a grocery sales tax, which previously brought in about $98,000 a year.
"The Village has a healthy bank account so we thought the 98k was feasible to give the Roscoe taxpayer a break... from more taxes!" - Trustee Michael Wright
Trustee Michael Wright sees this decision as a marketing opportunity, saying "come to Roscoe and NOT pay the extra grocery tax anymore."
