AD Harrison Excited About Future of Marshall Athletics
Marshall Director of Athletics Gerald Harrison is optimistic about the future of the Thundering Herd despite challenges in college athletics.
Harrison addressed the university's Board of Governors, citing new rules that establish a single transfer portal window for college football players in January.
"That puts us in a little bit of a crunch to get student-athletes here before the drop/add date, but we do know that whatever team we have at that point in January, we know that's the team that we will field—more than likely the majority of them—through the fall,"
Harrison believes this change is an improvement, although it may be a year late, following significant turnover in the Marshall football program after head coach Charles Huff's departure.
