We met at a coffee shop, where he pitched an idea: liberals should join forces with immigration restrictionists to help American workers.
Shouldn’t liberals who care about American workers make common cause with immigration restrictionists? Fewer immigrants, he contended, would mean more jobs available for American citizens.
