Competition is on as Lucky continues to lead the Sydney to Auckland Ocean Race.
Bryon Ehrhart's Lucky (USA) is leading the race, sailing at up to 20 knots across the Tasman Sea, with approximately 1022 nautical miles to Auckland.
"We're currently doing 18-20 knots in 15 knots of wind with a FRO (Fractional Code 0), J4 and a full main up. Beautiful sailing conditions."
Behind Lucky, Geoff Hill's Antipodes (Hong Kong) and Mick Martin's Frantic (NSW) are battling for position, with Antipodes currently eight miles ahead of Frantic.
"We cannot see Frantic anymore,"
said Brad Kellett, Antipodes navigator, describing their first night at sea and morning.
