The US and Ukraine are in discussions about the possibility of providing Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, following repeated requests from Ukraine.
These discussions come after a fresh wave of Russian strikes on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, as stated by officials and public statements.
Ukraine's foreign ministry said the two sides were in "a very detailed and active discussion about the possibility of providing these missiles,"
according to a ministry spokesman, Heorhii Tykhyi. President Volodymyr Zelensky mentioned a call with US President Donald Trump, describing it as "very positive and productive."
"We discussed opportunities to bolster our air defense, as well as concrete agreements that we are working on to ensure this,"
Zelensky wrote on X, in a public post. Moscow has strongly reacted to the possibility of Tomahawk transfers.
