Madera High's band is practicing on the field at Memorial Stadium for the last few days.
The Madera Unified School District (MUSD) has approved a $32 million bid for the demolition and construction of the stadium.
"It's pretty exciting. We are pretty much taking the stadium down to the ground,"
said MUSD Deputy Superintendent Sandon Schwartz.
The updates will address ongoing issues such as crumbling stairways and ADA ramps.
