Photo Tour: New Menu Items at Zio Peppe
East Tucson Sonoran-Italian restaurant Zio Peppe hosted the Tucson Foodie team for lunch to try out their new menu items.
These dishes feature modern plating while maintaining the restaurant’s playful feel. The new menu items include:
- Deviled eggs with boquerones salsa, tart hibiscus pickled shallot, and guajillo oil.
- Creamy burrata on a bed of granny smith apple and pickled cilantro stems and mint, topped with salsa macha verde and served with house bread.
- Carpaccio with charred scallion, tonnato sauce, and fried shallot, finished with lime zest, fresh cilantro, and capers.
- Nopal and calabrian gremolata with breadsticks.
These dishes pack a umami-punch with unique flavor combinations.
