A renewed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by FIFA President Gianni Infantino and ASEAN Secretary-General Kao Kim Hourn.
- National teams from all ASEAN member states will participate.
- The tournament format is inspired by the 2021 Arab Cup.
