Arkansas' first game without former coach Sam Pittman ended in a similar manner to earlier games before the coaching change, with the Razorbacks being outplayed after halftime.
The team lost 34-31 at 12th-ranked Tennessee in front of an announced crowd of 101,915 at Neyland Stadium, marking their fourth consecutive loss.
"We're right there," said Bobby Petrino, the Arkansas interim coach. "We've just got to find a way to get over the hump."
Turnovers contributed to the post-halftime drought, allowing Tennessee (5-1, 2-1) to build a 34-17 lead.
