Indonesia’s Amman Mineral moves a step closer to getting export permit

Indonesia's Amman Mineral Closer to Export Permit

Indonesia's energy ministry has backed Amman Mineral Internasional to export 480,000 dry metric tons of copper concentrate.

The recommendation is valid for six months from October 31, and is a crucial step for the company to secure an export permit from the trade ministry.

With the resumption of copper concentrate exports, which had been suspended since early 2025, Amman will be able to prevent concentrate storage facilities from exceeding their capacity.

This will allow mining operations to continue, according to Amman Mineral.

Indonesia has banned exports of copper concentrates and other raw minerals since mid-2023 to encourage domestic processing of the metal.
