Dr Nakarawa's Stepson Failed Fitness Test
A court has revealed that Inia Yavala, the stepson of Fiji Corrections Service suspended Commissioner Dr Jalesi Nakarawa, failed his Required Fitness Level test in October last year.
According to Isireli Nataqa, former Commandant of the Corrections Academy and current Corrections Supervisor Northern Division, Yavala participated in and failed the RFL during basic recruitment training between September and October last year.
Yavala was sent home but was called back to complete the recruitment process, breaching the basic recruitment process and allowing him to continue.
