Windows 10 Extended Security Updates
Windows 10 has reached its End of Life on October 14, 2025, but users can extend its lifespan with the Extended Security Updates (ESU) program.
To enroll, users can click "Enroll now" on the Windows Update page and link their Microsoft account, with EU users only requiring a Microsoft account for free ESU, while users outside the EU also need to sync Settings to OneDrive.
- US users can also use 1,000 Microsoft Rewards points to sign up for Windows 10 ESU.
- Alternatively, users can subscribe to the $30 ESU program, now available in the Store.
Users who want to use Windows 10 with a local account and continue getting updates via ESU can pay Microsoft $30.
