Bishops Call for Solidarity with Immigrants

A group of Catholic bishops participated in a binational pilgrimage and Mass to show solidarity with immigrants.

We walk together with our brothers and sisters who are struggling that they might know our love and concern and respect for each one of them.

In San Luis, Arizona, the bishops, accompanied by priests, religious brothers and sisters, laity, and immigration advocates, processed towards Mexico on the second Sunday in October.

Leading the group was Kicanas, apostolic administrator of the Diocese of Tucson, who emphasized the importance of standing with migrants, citing the words of Pope Leo XIV to remember the weakest among us.

The event was a rare sight, slowing traffic and attracting onlookers who took pictures.
